Violet Carapace moves across three bases that have nothing obvious in common - deep indigo, pale sage, and a burgundy that runs almost black at the tip - and ties them together with the same silver webbing on every nail. The web closes into pockets in places and opens into long tendrils in others. Domed stones in violet and opal sit caught inside the silver, and two nails are carved into ridges that fold near the point.

MATERIAL DETAILS
At least five hand-applied layers of soft gel. The three bases are mixed separately, the webbing is piped in a single working session so the junctions join cleanly, and the ridges are carved and folded while the gel is still workable.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Apply to clean, dry nails. Avoid long hot soaks and wear gloves for cleaning. Remove with cuticle oil and warm water, easing each nail from the side - never pry, and never use acetone. Store flat so the web and folded ridges hold.

Are the three colours spread evenly?
Roughly - four indigo, four sage, two burgundy. The burgundy nails are the darkest and act as anchors.

They are held inside raised silver rather than set on a flat surface, which holds far better.

Can I wear this more than once?
Yes, with care. Store it flat and remove slowly - the folded ridges are the parts most likely to take a knock.
