Opal Lattice is one base and one metal, worked ten different ways. The base is a soft opal wash - pink, lilac, blue and faint yellow bleeding into one another with no hard edges anywhere. Over it runs raised gold-toned line work in a different arrangement on every nail: a crossed lattice, a column with an arch over it, a curling vine, a set of panels like leaded glass.

MATERIAL DETAILS
At least five hand-applied layers of soft gel. The opal wash is blended wet so the colours bleed, and the gold-toned line work is piped on afterwards in several passes so it builds height.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Apply to clean, dry nails. Avoid long hot soaks and wear gloves for cleaning. Remove with cuticle oil and warm water, easing each nail off from the side - never pry, and keep acetone away from the gold. Store flat so the raised lines hold their height.

Is the gold real metal?
No. It is a gold-toned gel, piped in several passes until it stands off the nail.

Does the base shift colour?
It shifts with the angle rather than changing outright - the lilac and blue come forward in cool light, the pink in warm.

Will the raised lines catch on things?
On loose knitwear, occasionally. The edges are rounded, but the lines do sit proud of the surface.
