Crimson Relic is a long stiletto set - straight tapered sides running to a sharp point - in deep oxblood red, worked over with silver-toned detail. Two nails carry a swollen heart that looks poured rather than drawn, with the metal running down from it in thin streaks. Elsewhere there are oval frames set around dark red stones, fine lace tracery, and one nail where the red pools inside a bare metallic shell.

MATERIAL DETAILS
At least five hand-applied layers of soft gel over a hand-mixed oxblood base. The silver-toned work, the frames and the stone settings are all built up by hand in our Saigon studio, so the thickness of each streak varies slightly between sets.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Apply to clean, dry nails. Keep the set away from long hot soaks and wear gloves for cleaning. To remove, work cuticle oil around the edges, wait a minute, then ease each nail off sideways - never pry, and never use acetone, which strips the painted layers. Store flat in the case so the raised metal work keeps its shape.

Is the silver real metal?
No. The silver-toned work is painted and built up in gel until it stands off the nail. There is no metal in the set.

Are the red stones real gemstones?
They are faceted decorative stones, not cut gems. They are set into the gel by hand rather than glued on top.

How long will the set stay on?
Around 1-2 days with the adhesive tabs in the kit, or around 14-21 days with nail glue, which is sold separately. Long stiletto nails take more knocks than short ones, so expect the shorter end of the range if you are hard on your hands.
